Personal Statement
One of my passions in life include Cosmetology which consists of Make-up artistry and some hair styling. I feel that I have a creative mind and I am always looking for new challenges and projects that will help me inprove my skill. I also have a keen intrest in working with brands either on the PR side or the marketing side. I am always open to exploring other avenues and I am always excited to improve my current skill set further. I have a range of skills that I have learned over the years. One of them includes a high level of customer service skills, meaning that I will always try to put the customer first and will always handle situations efficiently and with a “can do” attitude. Another skill that I have is good computer skills that will come in good use when constructing letters,emails, spreadsheets etc. I am very good at liaising with people and would be able to built strong relationships with people and other businesses because I enjoy communicating and making people happy. Overall, I am the type of person that is always open to learning new crafts and skills and will tackle any obstacle with a rational,consise mind.

♦ I have a range of skills that would be suitable for this type of field such as communication skills as I will be able to have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills and I will alsoportray an enhanced professional image when communicating with customers or colleagues.
♦ As well as good communication skills I believe I have exceptional teamwork skills and I feel that is important because when you work as a team, it speeds up processes and contributes to things running more efficiently.
♦ Another skill that I think I have is initiative. I am capable to bring out ideas and actively carry them out. Problem solving is an important trait that I think I have because I can evaluate a situation and work towards the next step or the solution.
♦ I have computer skills which areimportant because it is used in almost all aspects of work and shows that I am able to use certain types of software effectively.
♦ Overall the skills that I have obtained show that I am able to learn quickly and retain information.

Sales Advisor & Cake Decorator

I initially joined Character Cake as part of my year 10 work experience, for an initial two week work placement. Due to my success in the role I was offered a part-time position on the weekends which I gladly accepted. My duties in this role included:

•​Assisting and advising customers both face to face and over the phone.

•​Arranging cake displays.

•​Decorating cakes and artwork.

•​Cash handling.

•​Working to timescales and deadlines.

My reason for leaving – Due to the shop being relocated.

I worked at Next during the busy sales season during the summer. Some of my responsibilities included serving and advising customers, upkeep of the shop floor, and working to timescales.

 

My Reason for leaving – The summer sale period ended so there was no more work available.

I worked at Debenhams during the Christmas sales and some responsibilities I had included shop floor recovery, serving customers, working on click and collect and presentation of the shop floor. I also had to work to timescales and offer assistance in the fitting rooms.

 

Reason for leaving- My contract ended for a Christmas temporary sales advisor.

Summer sales advisor

 

I worked at Warehouse during the summer sales and some of the responsibilities that I had included maintaining the standards of the shop floor, providing exceptional customer service, opening store cards and picking and packing items for home delivery.

 

My reason for leaving – I relocated to Leeds to attend university so unfortunately I was unable to continue working

I worked at Next in Leeds as a Christmas sales Temp and some of the roles I had were providing excellent customer service, handling online orders, cashing up, and stock checking.

 

Reason for leaving – My contract ended as a temporary chistmas sales advisor

I worked at coast as a stylist and the roles I had were to run the shop floor, sell to customers, handling stock, cashing up and processing online orders.

 

Reason for leaving – A family member fell sick and I had to move back home to look after them

Victorias Secret – The Bullring Birmingham B5 4BU                           Oct 2016 – Present

I started off working at Victoria’s Secret as a Christmas temp and my main focus was driving sales to the customer and also being on the tills. I then got kept on as a generalist which mainly consisted of general upkeep of the store and maintaining our customer service to the customer. In August 2017 I applied to be a Sales Associate and I was trained in hitting sales targets and offering customers a styling service.

Hobbies and Interests
My interests cover a wide range of sectors such as:

 

• Performing arts, particularly Drama and Dance (I took an IDTA qualification and I am currently on Gold bar 1 with my latest exam being highly commended).
• Another interest of mine is the Travel and Tourism area as I enjoy learning about different countries culture and lifestyle. I also enjoy learning about Eco-tourism and other geographical topics such as resource exploitation, the earth’s structure and population.
• I am also interested in English as I like to read, write and study play writers.
• Another interest that is relatively new is fashion and beauty particularly in the makeup industry which is a field that I would like to enter.
